Physical activity is key!

Our therapy concept is clearly orientated towards the success of active therapy. We see other proven treatment techniques such as manual therapy and the use of electronic and physical therapy devices as a useful addition to active therapy.

Modern infrastructure at the cutting edge

Through regular further training and financial investment, we are able to offer therapy that is based on the most proven treatment approaches.

Musculo-skeletal ultrasound

One of the first physiotherapy practices in Basel to offer musculoskeletal ultrasound (or rehabilitative ultrasound imaging). Examples of applications are:
  • Imaging support in the assessment of acute injuries
  • Assessment of the extent of swelling or inflammation
  • Imaging of the rehabilitation process, e.g. for muscle or tendon injuries
And many more.

Sports physiotherapy

You too can benefit from our additional training and experience in the field of sports physiotherapy. Overloading can occur in normal working life or in the event of additional stress in everyday life. We analyse your symptoms individually and adapt our therapy concept to your current stress capacity so that adequate stimuli are created that do not overload you.

Support during and after the end of therapy

You will receive support from us wherever possible.
Informing you about your diagnosis and its consequences is just as much a part of our concept as promoting your own activity alongside the therapy. You can also use the training infrastructure at any time outside of your personal physiotherapy sessions! A training programme created by us allows you to pursue your goals individually, in the fitness centre or at home in your living room. You can train independently via an app with the help of videos and descriptions in countless languages without 1:1 supervision.
After completing the therapy, you can contact us at any time if you have any follow-up questions. This makes it easier to take the step towards functional independence.

Rehabilitation after surgery

The right advice and guidance in the acute phase after an operation is crucial for the further course of rehabilitation. Optimal care in the first few weeks after the operation has a decisive influence on the healing process and therefore on the fastest possible regeneration.
We will give you tips on how you can best support your body, prevent your muscles from breaking down too much and support you with our experience in pain management. Thanks to our intensive collaboration with leading sports physicians and orthopaedists, we ensure a high quality of treatment and can advise you at any time if necessary.

Dry Needling and trigger point therapy according to DGSA

Dry needling is an effective method for treating myofascial trigger points and fascia. An acupuncture needle is inserted directly into the trigger point or hard tension cord. As a result, the muscle reacts with a localised twitching reaction and subsequent muscle relaxation.
With trigger point therapy, we release your tense muscles. Thanks to the treatment, the affected areas are better supplied with blood and the pain subsides.

Medical training therapy
(MTT)

MTT is a therapeutically guided training programme that you carry out yourself several times a week after a thorough introduction by a physiotherapist.
You will find the exercises in a training app, in which videos of each exercise and explanations in various languages are available to you.
As your training takes place in the same areas as our therapy sessions, we can correct you at any time if we notice any mistakes.
If you have any questions or problems during the exercises, we are always at your disposal.

Electrotherapy and shock wave therapy

The Compex electrical device provides us with effective support in the prevention of post-operative muscle loss. The device is used as a supplement after the therapy session. We are also happy to lend you a device so that you can continue the therapy at home.
Shock wave therapy has proven to be particularly effective for chronic diseases of the muscle-tendon apparatus. An audible sound wave is produced by the shock wave device and transported into the body via the transducer. This leads to direct pain relief, increased blood circulation and metabolism. In addition, the concentration of stem cells in the treated area increases. This leads to better regeneration and healing of the injured tissue.

Taping:
Leuko- und Kinesiotape

In the area of taping, we use both Leukotape and Kinesiotape as required. The classic Leukotape stabilises joints with its tensile effect and intensifies the perception of unwanted movements. Kinesiotape, on the other hand, is elastic. It regulates muscle tone, relieves pain and stimulates the fascia.

Manual lymphatic drainage according to Földi

Swelling after operations can be actively reduced with manual lymphatic drainage according to Földi. We use massage and compression counselling to release the congested lymph.

Percutaneous electrolysis

Percutaneous electrolysis is a minimally invasive physiotherapy treatment in which a fine needle is used to apply targeted electrical current to damaged tissue (such as tendons, muscles, or ligaments) under the guidance of a diagnostic ultrasound device. This therapy triggers a localized, controlled inflammatory response that stimulates the body's own repair processes in the tissue, thereby promoting healing.
The ultrasound device enables precise placement of the needle on the tissue requiring treatment, thus increasing the safety and effectiveness of the method.
The treatment is particularly suitable for chronic and therapy-resistant complaints of tendons or muscles and often leads to rapid pain relief and improved functionality.
This innovative method combines the advantages of modern ultrasound diagnostics with targeted, effective therapy, thus offering optimal conditions for rapid and sustainable recovery.

Manual therapy

The aim of manual therapy is to restore impaired functions of your musculoskeletal system. This is achieved with targeted grip techniques that are carried out with little force and without pain.
